Luxembourg Private Equity Seminar in Brussels: Structuring Perspectives for Belgian Fund Managers

We are pleased to share that our partner Olivier Sciales will be speaking at the LPEA (Luxembourg Private Equity Association) Seminar in Brussels on 16 June.

The programme will cover a range of topics reflecting current market developments and practical structuring considerations for private equity and venture capital activities between Belgium and Luxembourg.

Olivier will contribute to the first session which will focus on legal and tax structuring, including carried interest arrangements, the establishment of Luxembourg-based investment and management structures, and the use of specific regimes to attract talent. This will provide a practical overview of the Luxembourg structuring “toolbox” available to Belgian managers and investors.

Building on this, the seminar will also address investor access and capital raising, with a discussion on common misconceptions around Luxembourg structures, as well as the challenges of cross-border distribution and fundraising within the EU. The session will further explore current trends shaping investor demand and market access in Europe.

A dedicated panel will examine the growing importance of evergreen and semi-liquid structures, particularly in the context of wealth management platforms. Discussions will cover liquidity management, governance, investor onboarding and the broader expansion of private market offerings beyond traditional closed-ended funds.

The programme will also include practical testimonies from fund managers, providing first-hand insights into the use of Luxembourg structures alongside domestic setups, including considerations around master-feeder arrangements, co-investments and EU distribution strategies.

Finally, the seminar will explore digital assets and tokenisation in private markets, focusing on what has already been implemented in practice in Luxembourg, and addressing key legal, operational and regulatory considerations linked to tokenised fund interests
