A founding partner of Chevalier & Sciales and a member of the Luxembourg bar, Olivier Sciales heads the firm’s investment management team, His focus lies in the structuring, formation, operation and fundraising of Luxembourg alternative investment funds, which include special limited partnerships (SCSp), reserved alternative investment funds (RAIFs), and specialised investment funds (SIFs). He also handles matters relating to UCITS.

His clients comprise asset managers, family offices and other firms that manage private equity funds, real estate funds, venture capital funds, private debt funds, hedge funds and crypto funds.

Additionally, Olivier Sciales has a broad range of experience in various capital-raising strategies and investments. His expertise includes establishing club deals, co-investment schemes, joint ventures, and providing comprehensive advisory services for corporate and private equity transactions.

Fluent in French, English, and Dutch, Olivier earned his law degree with distinction from the University of Antwerp and an LLM (Master of Laws) from Cornell University. Before co-founding Chevalier & Sciales in 2005 he worked in the corporate departments of a magic circle firm and a large Luxembourg law firm. He has been recommended in the Who’s Who Legal Private Funds 2024 edition, the Leaders League 2024 edition as well as the Legal 500.
