Olivier Sciales heads the firm’s investment management and private wealth management team working with international family offices, asset managers, general partners and private investors on Luxembourg investment structures, including investment funds and dedicated vehicles.

His investment management practice spans a broad range of Luxembourg alternative investment structures across private equity, real estate, venture capital, private debt and other alternative investment strategies, including SCSp-based structures, RAIFs and SIFs.

Olivier also works on specific invesment opportunities with international family offices and private investors, including equity and debt investments, club deals, co-investments and other dedicated arrangements, particularly where several international family offices and private investors participate alongside one another. These can involve Luxembourg investment funds and dedicated vehicles, as well as related holding and financing structures tailored to the transaction and the parties involved.

His broader practice encompasses Luxembourg corporate and private equity transactions, including joint ventures, restructurings, acquisitions and divestments, often in a cross-border context.

Fluent in English, French and Dutch, Olivier earned his law degree with distinction from the University of Antwerp and an LLM (Master of Laws) from Cornell University. Before co-founding Chevalier & Sciales in 2005, he worked in the corporate departments of a Magic Circle firm and a large Luxembourg law firm.  He has been recommended in the Who’s Who Legal Private Funds 2025 edition, the Leaders League 2025 edition.
