Cécile Rechstein is a partner at Chevalier & Sciales since January 2019. After a double degree in French and Anglo-American Law, she specialises in international commercial law at the Sorbonne University.

Her professional experience covers the entire investment management value chain from a legal, operational and regulatory perspective. Before joining Chevalier & Sciales in 2009, Cécile has been working within the corporate department in Luxembourg of a magic circle law firm which allowed her to build a strong corporate background which is an asset as a Luxembourg investment fund lawyer. Her business experience over the last 14 years covers areas such as structuring of investment funds, legal & compliance, assisting clients regarding corporate structuring or other areas of laws intertwined with the fund industry.

She has a profound knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory regime and advises on a daily basis on corporate law, governance and regulatory compliance for retail and alternative regulated and unregulated funds with always a client-oriented vision.

Over the past years, she has been assisting clients with the creation or migration of their funds to Luxembourg, reorganisation of legal structures (including liquidations and migrations from offshore to Luxembourg), changing of service providers following the entry into force of the AIFM law and the need in the fund industry to appoint an authorized AIFM above a certain threshold as well as more recently with AML_CFT organization.
